October 19, 2017

Even the pickiest ghoul can’t say no to this party mix. With equal parts sweet and salty, it’s the perfect Halloween treat. It looks the part too. Get your ingredients together, watch the video, and make your own Monster Munch. You’ll find the full directions below the video.

Peanut Butter Monster Munch Halloween Party Mix

  • 12 cups air-popped popcorn (1/2 cups of un-popped popcorn)
  • 3 cups mini-twist pretzels
  • 1 cup roasted, salted peanuts
  • 1 cup Reese’s Pieces
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural or organic)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • Orange candy melts (optional)
  • Halloween sprinkles for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper and divide the popped popcorn, pretzels, peanuts, candy corn, and Reese’s pieces between the two sheets. Mix each of the cookie sheet’s contents together. Set both aside.

Using a medium saucepan, combine the honey, sugar, salt, peanut butter, and butter. Stirring constantly, bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes while continuing to stir.

Remove from heat and drizzle your sauce over the popcorn mixture. Stir to coat.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees and bake the contents on both cookie sheets for 15 minutes.

Optional: Let mixture cool and then drizzle with melted candy melts and top with Halloween sprinkles.

Let cool completely, break apart, and serve
